Electrical appliances

Challenge

Due to the increasing demand of our constantly growing, technology-loving society, innovation cycles of electrical appliances are overturning. The lack of take-back and recycling systems that do justice to the complexity of the devices leads to electronic waste. Scarcity of resources is the inevitable consequence of this linear waste management. And the energy consumption during use and production, the repairability and the recyclability of the materials used are also indicators of the comparatively high environmental impact of many electrical appliances.

Strategy

In order to meet society's needs for sustainable development and to protect our living space, we are on the way to comprehensively redesigning our supply chains (from raw material extraction, production, distribution to disposal): towards a transparent, circular and climate-friendly value creation of energy-efficient and recyclable electrical appliances.

Target image

Our electrical appliance consists of recycled and/or responsibly sourced raw materials and individual parts and is produced in accordance with globally recognised human rights and labour standards. It meets the highest standards in terms of quality, including service life and product transparency, can be used in an energy- and resource-saving manner and can also be repaired by replacing individual parts. In addition, it is recycled or reused after the end of its use (if appropriate structures are in place).
