Just graduated and ready to launch your future career? At Melitta, we can get your career off to a flying start. Our International Trainee Program starts once a year. Over 18 months in five different departments, you’ll get to know the many brands, products, locations, and people of the Melitta Group. You’ll have an opportunity to find out which function is right for you – and demonstrate what you’re made of.
Whichever area you choose to start your work as a trainee at Melitta, you’ll be fully integrated into the working process from the very first day and assume full responsibility in our varied daily business. By working in a variety of operating divisions, you’ll experience our diverse brands and products – and find out which work is most interesting for you. Another exciting station in our trainee program is your assignment to one of our foreign subsidiaries. This will enable you to directly experience and shape the internationality of Melitta – and expand your social network.
In addition to this tailored program with relevant postings, we also invest in your development process. That’s why at the end of each posting, you’ll receive comprehensive feedback on your achievements and personal progress. Based on your personal development plan, you can systematically build up and improve your skills by attending various training courses. Throughout the entire program, your personal mentor – an experienced Melitta manager – will be there to assist you.

What you need to offer to become a trainee at Melitta?
One thing’s for certain, you need to be motivated to learn new things, and to contribute and implement your own ideas. One prerequisite for the trainee program is a bachelor’s, master’s or diploma degree in a field of study currently required by the Melitta Group. You should have very good to good grades in the specific area required for one of the traineeships on offer. Initial practical experience will help underpin your theoretical knowledge in one of Melitta’s focus areas. As you’ll also gain experience abroad during your trainee program, fluency in German and English is required. Our annual application phase for the international Melitta Trainee Program begins with the Graduate Congress in Cologne in late November.
