II. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the use of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain purposes or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website.

Cookies, which are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you require (e.g. shopping basket function), are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimal provision of their services. As far as other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour) are stored, these will be treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Server-Log-Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check the data subsequently if we become aware of any evidence of illegal use. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the technically error-free and optimal presentation of the website - for this purpose the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries using the contact form or by telephone, we will store your details, including the contact data you have provided, for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The data provided in the contact form will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legitimacy of the data processing procedures carried out up to the withdrawal of consent remains unaffected by the withdrawal of consent.

The data you provide in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, until you withdraw your consent to its storage or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Online Application

Processing of applicant data

We shall process the personal data of an applicant (applicant data) for the purpose of conducting our application procedure and, if the application is successful, for the purpose of establishing and carrying out the future employment relationship. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 26 of the revised German Data Protection Act (“BDSG-neu”) pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b) for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

The applicant data are used by the respective company/companies of the Melitta Group to which the applicant has directed the application or for which they have given their consent to forward the data. In this context, the applicant data may possibly be used to make contact via telephone or electronic means (e.g. e-mail). We expressly do not collect or request any data relating to special categories pursuant to Art. 9 GDPR (1) (e.g. religious beliefs or ethnic origin). Should we cooperate with a service provider for the advertised position, the applicant data may also be processed by this service provider. The application procedure is managed internally by Melitta Business Service Center GmbH & Co. KG, Minden.

Further processors:

Net at Work GmbH
Am Hoppenhof 32 A
33104 Paderborn

4brands Reply GmbH & Co. KG
Bartholomäusweg 26
33334 Gütersloh

HATTINGER BÜRO GmbH
Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung
Friedrichstr. 5
45525 Hattingen

On completion of the application procedure, the applicant data will be deleted unless a legal retention period (e.g. AGG, BGB, SGB) requires longer storage or the applicant has given his/her consent for longer storage. For reasons of self-protection with regard to the requirements of the German General Act on Equal Treatment (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz - AGG), applicant data is always kept for at least twelve months after receipt.

Insofar as we process the applicant data on the basis of consent given, the applicant can revoke this consent in written form (e.g. by sending a corresponding e-mail to the designated processing party) at any time with effect for the future. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until such revocation is received remains unaffected.
