Melitta Group wins CSR Award of the German Federal Government 2025 in the category "Effective Continuing Education"

Minden, April 7, 2025 - On April 3, 2025, the Melitta Group was awarded the CSR Award of the German Federal Government 2025 in the category "Effective Continuing Education". The award ceremony took place as part of a CSR network meeting in Berlin.

The jury praised the "Fair Recycled Plastic" initiative, in which the Melitta Group has established a social business in Bangalore, India. The initiative combines a circular economy with social responsibility: plastic waste is processed into high-quality recyclates and is used in the production of new garbage bags. At the same time, better working conditions are created for waste collectors and education and health projects for their families are supported.

"This award confirms our path of sustainable transformation. Fair Recycled Plastic is an example of how ecological and social responsibility can go hand in hand," says Oliver Strelecki, Managing Director of Cofresco.

Stefan Dierks, Director Sustainability Strategy of the Melitta Group, adds: "The award is an incentive for us to consistently pursue our sustainability goals. We want to show that economic success and social responsibility go hand in hand."
